Tanzania
East Africa

Tanzania offers extraordinary scale and variety, from the vast ecosystems of the Serengeti to the quieter southern and western regions that reward those willing to travel further. Areas such as Ruaha, Nyerere (Selous), and Katavi provide a more remote and unhurried safari experience, while the Ngorongoro Highlands and Mahale Mountains add depth through landscape and culture. Tanzania is particularly well suited to travellers seeking both classic wildlife and lesser-known wilderness, combined with a sense of grandeur.
When is the best time to travel to Tanzania?
Tanzania offers strong wildlife viewing year-round. The dry season (June to October) is ideal for classic safaris and coincides with parts of the Great Migration in the Serengeti. The green season (November to March) brings lush landscapes, fewer visitors and beautiful light. Calving season in the southern Serengeti (around January–February) is particularly spectacular. Timing depends on which region you wish to explore.
Is Tanzania suitable for first-time safari travellers?
Very much so. Tanzania is one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations and offers a wide range of experiences, from the Serengeti plains to the Ngorongoro Crater. Its diversity allows us to tailor journeys for first-time travellers as well as seasoned safari enthusiasts.
What kind of accommodation can I expect?
We focus on characterful tented camps, boutique lodges and private residences that balance comfort with authenticity. Expect spacious canvas suites, thoughtful design and immersive settings close to wildlife areas. The style is elegant yet grounded — designed to enhance the safari, not distract from it.
What makes Tanzania different from other safari destinations?
Tanzania is about scale and drama. Vast plains, immense herds, volcanic craters and the rhythm of migration. It delivers the classic East African safari imagery — sweeping horizons, acacia trees and large predator populations — combined with opportunities for more remote, quieter areas for those seeking intimacy.
