Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page!
Here is everything you need to know before you go, from what to pack to wildlife expectations.

What should I pack for a safari?

Pack light, neutral-colored clothing (beige, khaki, olive), comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a good camera. Evenings can be cool, so a warm layer is recommended. Don’t forget any personal medications.

Are safaris safe for children?

Yes, our safaris are family-friendly, but we recommend close supervision, especially around wildlife and at camps. Some activities may have age restrictions for safety reasons — please check with us when booking.

Do I need vaccinations before a safari?

Vaccination requirements depend on the destination. Many safari areas require yellow fever vaccination if arriving from certain countries. We also recommend routine vaccinations and consulting your doctor about malaria prophylaxis. We can provide guidance on recommended health precautions.

What kind of wildlife can I expect to see?

This depends on the region and season. Most safaris offer opportunities to see elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Your guide will tailor drives to maximize wildlife sightings.

What is the best time of year for a safari?

Dry seasons are generally best for wildlife viewing, as animals gather around waterholes. Specific timing depends on the destination — we can advise you on the optimal months for your chosen safari.

Will I have internet and phone coverage?

Most safari camps are remote, so coverage can be limited. Some camps offer Wi-Fi in communal areas. We recommend using this time to disconnect and enjoy the experience.

Can I take a safari if I have mobility challenges?

Many camps and vehicles can accommodate limited mobility, but game drives often involve rough terrain. Please discuss your needs with us in advance so we can plan a suitable experience.

Yes, we can design tailor-made itineraries to suit families, couples, or groups, including special interests such as photography, walking safaris, or luxury experiences.
